The biggest one for me is Lestat I cant help it, I just really loved that show. I know a lot of people thought it sucked, I just really liked it. I wish the cast recording had been released.

TRY to whistle a Sondheim song, admit it's too good for whistling, and then knock on wood two times, then three. Everything will be fine!
PLEASE! Do not post anything negative or dramatic! DidYouReallyHearMe has LOST the ability to ignore such posts and he will comment! Please, help him.
With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-

Saw Cats in London in 1981 and loved it. Saw it on tour a few years later and didn't care for it as much.

I'm in Les Miserables right now... and I've pulled out my 4 recordings of the show from 7th grade, and I swear it's addictive. I feel guilty because I've constantly criticized it over the years, after I discovered better shows.

Well, let me preface this by saying that I find the idea of the "guilty pleasure" kinda appalling and I don't think people should feel guilty about what they love even if it is dreck. So I don't know that I have one as far as theatre goes.
I DO actually feel guilty about The Little Mermaid being one of the new shows I'd most like to see. Actually, after "In The Heights" (which I actually AM seeing), I guess it is the new show I'd most like to see. That Sierra Boggess just seems so darn charming... :)

I don't feel guilty about it, but I love In My Life, Lestat, and Cats. I firmly believe that you can love a show and acknowledge that it's terrible at the same time.

I just caught the touring production of Mamma Mia! in Seattle last Wednesday, and I hate to admit that I had a really good time at that show, even though I don't really want to bring it up at work with anyone (and I'm the one usually raving (or at least talking) about shows that I have seen.
It was a little "lewder" than I thought it would be (with the sexual innuendos and references to "mary jane"), which added to the "guilty" factor, but I thought that the performances were very good, and everyone looked like what I think they should look like (like Donna, in my mind she should look like that woman who played her on tour. I hate the look of the Donna from the London cast that they featured on the bonus DVD, with her "Saffy from AbFab" hair). Sure the story line was pretty thin, but it was fairly good mindless entertainment.
Now I'll have to compair it to the upcoming movie (that I'll probably hide from my co-workers also!)

ANNIE! LOL! I really love the music! And if you haven't seen it for years and you see a really good production of it, you go....OH this is a fun show.
