Is anyone else having a hard time finding decent seat for Guys & Dolls? I'm searching out through June and am still only coming up with Row M as my best option.

**Let me take a brief moment to complain about Ticketmaster and their limited searching capabilities on this one, as well lol.**

Are they selling premium through Row M or am I missing something?

I got two great tickets just three days ago but they were in the mezzanine. Row EE, center aisle. (Feb 2re: Guys & Dolls Ticket Question

I found an okay seat the other day, but just for one person. I have a feeling better seats will be popping up in the coming days. I really hope I can catch this production!

I noticed the same thing for mid-April. It appears they are holding back good seats. I have the same problem with West Side Story also.

To make it seem like tix are going like wildfire? Just a thought.

It's called creating a false sense of urgency. They hold back the good seats to make people think that tickets are selling really well and they better buy them soon because before you know it they'll be gone. Most shows do this.

People usually have the impression that they should buy tickets far in advance so that they can ensure the best seats, when the fact of the matter is that producers sell the worst seats first, and release the better seats as the date of the performance approaches, with the unsold premium seats being released a few hours prior to the performance.

I should have known better. that just pissed me off. Even though I have a good seat I wanted even better.

Thanks for the input! I had no idea they did that. Best of luck to everyone attempting to get decent seats for this show!

Check out the other thread regarding Guys and Dolls as it seems that some tickets are now available (first and second rows) where they previously weren't (I check regularly).

When buying tickets to this revival, I recommend buying them in the mezzanine. I've been in the newly remodeled Nederlander and I personally feel the best view of the show (full scope) is anywhere up there. The theater is very small so there isn't a bad seat in the house with exception to the side box seats which are being blocked by the giant marquees which are part of the set.

Oh, good! I have tickets in the front row mezz (center); I'm glad it's a good spot.
It's funny that the box seats aren't great when they're so expensive.

Elphie-

Front Row Mezz is perfect. There are two marquees that can't be seen when sitting in the orchestra.

I've never sat in a good box seat. In the old days you sat there to be seen, not watch the show, so it makes sense.

I'm excited to see a good production of "Guys and Dolls!" I just hope the choreography is good!

DrVincento2 have you heard yet anything about anymore cancelled previews?

Reason I'm asking is it's gotten to a point that if they're cancelling more previews and the tickets are being pushed back to other nights that there's going to be doubling up with tickets, etc.

Thanks for the seat info, I always go for the front row mezz, especially for a show like G&D allows you to get a better view of the larger scale numbers like Havana.
