From the recent audition, it sounds like Rob Ashford wants to create (wanted to create) a more real, grittier depiction of these characters. The Hot Box girls seem like they will be raunchier. I am anxious to see his interpretation. I am also interested in seeing who is cast in the leading roles.

Curtis was fantastic in the couple of scenes he had as Young Buddy at the Encores! FOLLIES concert and I hear he's quite the tap-dancer in XANADU so I will be quite happing seeing him again in February...hopefully joined by a certain blond who was supposed to be his XANADU co-star.

Cyndi Lauper is NOT too old for Adelaide. Don't forget that 14 year engagement to Nathan. Adelaide is no spring chicken, her biological clock is ticking!
