Posted: 3/25/09 at 3:51pmI did a search and could not find an answer so here goes: I watched NY1 On Stage last Saturday and there was an interview with Craig Bierko and Kate Jennings. A clip of the ending of I'VE NEVER BEEN IN LOVE BEFORE was shown and it was the end of the duet. Does anyone know why the harmony was changed from the way it was originally written? It was pretty jarring for me to hear it because I've never heard the arrangement that's being used in the current revival...

Posted: 3/25/09 at 4:57pmThis revival has new orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and new vocal arrangments by Ted Sperling so that would explain the new arrangments you've never heard before.

While I love the original orchestrations (very old fashioned musical theatre), the revival, while having its obvious flaws, has wonderful new orchestrations as well. The tone is very sleazy, dark and jazzy. I like
