I thought Catherine Zeta-Jones was banned from musicals after her "performance" of "Send In The Clowns" on the Tonys.

A lot of "would he/she" depends upon their wanting to work with whatever director is hired and and I quote "star opposite Streisand." I'd love to see an actress who wouldn't be afraid of her to really stand up to her at the end. All these are great suggestions, but I can't get Emmy Rossum out of my head doing the final dressing room scene where she almost doest a high evil laugh.
I really think Emmy would be wonderful. She can be boyish and sexy rather easily. I'm not sure what her Shameless schedule is like. They're already shooting the next season and it starts airing in the winter, so she might be done by then.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Goldie Hawn would make great strippers. They'd be a hoot.
Well, at least Louise doesn't have to be a great singer. It's finally a role in a movie musical where Rossum would have a fighting chance of being good.

Hearing Lady Gaga singing in her new Jazz album she certainly does have the vocal ability to be in a musical what remains to be seen is the acting ability.
I know it's been mentioned before, but I think Lupone as Mazeppa, Bernadette as Tessie, and Tyne Daly as Electra would be absolutely brilliant!
