Has anyone heard the release date for the HADESTOWN 2CD ? I know it is released digitally on June 7, but I would rather the physical 2CD version. Also, what label is releasing it?

Not sure if it is correct, but

says Atlantic Records Cast Album will be releasing the album. No info on the physical CD yet.
The originsl announcement on Playbill did state there will be a physical 2CD version. I feel the packaging will be stunning

I'm looking to get a physical copy too. Can't wait.. lol
I'm really looking forward to this too, but I don't have a lot of faith in that date or that article. The "order now" buttons just go to the Hadestown site, with no info at all about the CD. Amazon doesn't have it listed at all; neither does Atlantic Records site, Ghostlight, PS Classics or Broadway Records. I'll be pretty shocked if we see this on June 7.

Well, yeah, we are definitely not getting the physical on June 7th. We already know that. The turn around for this album is very quick and they are clearly just trying to get the digital album out as quickly as possible and then worry about the physical version. I’m just hoping that it isn’t reflected in the quality of the album. I was surprised when they recorded the entire thing in one day.

Cool, digital version is enough for now. CDs can come later.
Actually, I read somewhere else, many cast recordings are recorded in one day (or in a short period of time). The orchestra and the actors work in the studio together, just like performing a show live. Exceptions include DEH. I do have high hope for Hadestown's OBC recording. Hopefully I won't be disappointed.
I'm really hoping they did a good job on it, too. I can't wait to hear the digital version and will buy the CD the day it's released. I loved this show and I think it'll be my favorite new score for quite some time.
