Expensive. You NEVER buy the CD at the theatre unless it's a prerelease.
And even if it is a pre-release, unless is is a score you absolutely cannot wait to hear again better to get at retail of order from Amazon.
I wonder, now that Virgin is gone from Times Square and there is no well-stocked CD store in the area if that has increased the at-the-theatre sales. I know the labels count on about 10% of the audience buying the CD at the theatre.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Most likely $25, the same price it is on their website, not sure if you get more photos with it at that price or not.

Amazon offers it at $13.99
Also available on iTunes $11.99
Sort of OT, but is anyone buying the vinyl record of HAIR?
I really really really really really really want to, but I'm completely broke right now, and will be for a while.
Is the HAIR 2-Lp set a limited edition? Not that it means much. When DROWSY CHAPERONE sold out its first limited edition, they just released a second batch. SO much for your "collectors' item."

Yes and you can still currently order the Drowsy vinyl-so much for being a collector's item is right!!!!
I hope the HAIR lp would be a limited run!
