Inez in played by an adult actress on tour because when a child is in the role, a tutor/child wrangler MUST be on staff and a child requires constant supervision and costs more money.
They cut from 10 trucks to 8 to simplify the touring load ins/outs.

Posted: 10/26/04 at 12:38pmat one point during the song "I know where I've been" Link was downstage with Inez. He sort of put his arms around her. It looked kind of sexual or flirtatious because Inez is now an adult. I didn't work. It took on a whole new meaning. The blocking only worked when Inez was a little girl.

Posted: 10/26/04 at 5:27pmI believe Shayna Steele understudied Inez in the original Broadway production. The point is, if the person looks and sounds the part, why not? Donna, I'm assuming that who you saw didn't have the "kiddy" quality?
