Absolutely. They're just as energetic and talented as ever.
As you can probably tell from my name, Amber's my favorite character.. followed closely by the positively permanately punished Penny Lou Pingleton.

Vilanch is incredible. Carly has it. She is wonderful.
But i must say, I was most taken with the new LINK.
The man made me melt.
Sad but true. He made me feel like a teenager again.

Is the Link you are talking about Richard Blake? If so, I saw him in Bryant Park and he is HOT...I don't mean just his looks, but also his voice. Go see it!

richard blake was not bad or good. he was just bland and looked far too old for the role and lacked chemistry with carly jibson.
i have seene very broadway link except for john jeffrey martin (damn him for leaving before i saw him!) and i must say that my FAVORITE link has been serge kushnier, followed closely by adam fleming.

I have never seen John Jeffrey Martin in Hairspray.
But i thought that Richard Blake was wonderful.
He does not look old to me.
The man can sing, dance and shake.
I was a teenager again. OLD? He is HOT HOT HOT.
I have heard that John Jeffrey Martin is a sweetie though.
But i have never met him.

hahahahaha. serge and adam were both fantastic as link in my opinion.
richard blake doesn't look OLD.. he looks too old to be attempting to play Link Larkin.

When I saw the tour it was spectacular, and I left the theater dancing! My fav. character is Tracy--played by Marissa Winokur.

I saw the show this month, and I was completely and utterly disappointed with it. Sorry
If you are a fan of the show, then by all means waste your money, but there are far better things out there right now.
I posted a review; it's somewhere in the search.

I saw the show in March with Richard Blake, Harvey, and Kathy Brier. I thought Kathy was really great, not as whiny as Marisa sounds on the OBCR, and I liked that. She was SO hilarious, at the end of 'It Takes Two' she pulled up her skirt and starting dry humping Richard Blake! It was so hilarious! And according to my friend who saw it the next day, she didn't do it then!
Richard Blake was great too, but just a random fact, he seemed like he was sweating profusely. I'm sure I would be too, but it just seemed like more than you usually see...lol, I just thought it was funny. At one point he was DRIPPING on Kathy Brier.
And of course, Harvey was amazing. I had a terrific time, I got to see Shayna Steele play Lil' Inez and she was really awesome. I loved all of the Dynamites, the whole thing was great. I was on the second row aisle and some of the chorus members like Tracee Beazer saw me dancing when they were coming down the aisles and said Hi to me and danced with me for a little while, and then she winked at me when she saw me from the stage! And it was cool to see Harvey and all the other cast members up so close, I loved those seats.
And at the end, it was hilarious, they were plugging their little Harvey bobble heads and Harvey showed one and said, this is a lovely porcelain bobble-head that was painted by a nice 6-year old in Taiwan...and when everyone laughed he said.."Hey, I didn't vote for him." Which made everyone laugh again.
I'd definitely consider seeing the show again, it was so great and so much fun.

I am devastated !! So many Link references and NO ONE mentioned the original Link, the fantastic Matt Morrison ???? Crazy4Matt, not even you ? I'm shocked !!
Well, in my opinion, apart from Harvey, whom I adore, I was completely blown away by Matt's gorgeous presence, great voice and incredible dancing in the role of Link !!! I thought he was phenomenal !!And I must say that I am not very easily impressed !
I saw Richard Blake in Aida and he didn't do much for me as Radames. Maybe he is great as Link, but I don't think I will ever like anyone more than Matt !
Take care
