Pippin, I DEFINITELY guessed that was you. Not sure why, but I had a feeling. You were so great! My mom (alias stagemom3) leaned over to me after you finished singing in falsetto and was like "how can he DO that?"
It was such a great show, and both the leads and the ensemble were fantastic. It didn't seem like there were any weak links in the show, and that really raised the quality of the show.
Congratulations again, and let us know how the rest of the run goes!
Thanks guys, for all your positive input!! I'm having a blast with it, but it is a very demanding show.
hey everyone! I just wanted to bump the thread up to the top and say hello and thanks for all the kind words and encouragement.
my name is Kathryn and I play Sheila. we definately have some tickets left this week- not a ton- but some... and they're cheaper cause its still previews till saturday- so come check it out.
Peace. Love.

Saw the preview tonight.
The sound was atrocious, but bless the energy and enthusiam of the talented company to overcome the technical issues.
Kudos to Thom Miller, Ashley Robinson, and Kati Lyles...all three gems!

saw the preview tonight guys -- wednesday evening!!!!!!!!!! all i can say is freaking amazing. the sound wasnt atrocious like the previous person said at least not where i was sitting in the orchestra. the cast was so sexy and energetic i feel in love with all of them. sheila and pippin were great so was berger and woof and claude and the white boys trio not one weak link anywhere. the best ensemble i have seen in phila for along time. btw -- the acid trip was syched: loved that. the show was so powerful. amen to you all. congrats to everyone. the band rocked. def coming back later in june when im back in phila. good luck on open night.
I was in the orchestra, as well, for Wednesday. Not sure what you'd call the sound where mics were left off, came on late, singers were overpowered by the orchestra..but for a professional venue, the sound was...not good.

i totally understand. i guess i have worked in enough professional venues to know that sound is the trickiest particularly in rock musicals to get right so i guess i just gave em more slack during previews. but thats just me. it may have been 'not good' on your evening it was fantastic on mine. the good thing would seem to be that the atrocious sound is making progress..... Kev, we started out with some bad sound issues, but by wednesday night, they were almost all fixed. That has been one of our biggest issues so far. Sorry they were pretty bad when you saw it, but luckily all is well now.
good to know Pippin, and kudos to a wonderful performance...you were a delight.
WE open tonight!

OT: Pippin, I tried PM'ing you but it says that you're not accepting them.
break a leg to the whole cast...especially the UArts people in it!!!
I'm coming back with friends from my summer theatre program.
Hopefully this time I won't be in the second row with people pelvic-thrusting in my face...that was quite scarring, especially having my mother sit next to me...
