This is devastating news. I can’t even imagine what they’re going through...no words.

On a purely superficial level, I also can’t even imagine how difficult it will be to play a character who loses a child night after night on stage.

I was thinking the same thing. Man I feel for Miguel. It would be far too much for me to perform that role ever again. Hoping the best for this family.

He’s so marvelous in the role and seems like such a gracious, kind human being at stage door, never even giving a hint of the tragedy he and his family having been dealing with. I wish for him and his wife that they have lots and lots of all kinds of support at this difficult time. My heart breaks for them.

What an awful tragedy for him and his family. Thinking of them, and hoping that the fact that their child is no longer suffering can be a small source of comfort.

(Has he played Hamilton in Chicago for the entire run??)

I believe so. He was Hamilton all three times I saw the show in Chicago.

He will be taking some time off due to this tragedy, but he is finishing closing with the rest of the cast in January.
