I have a reservation for 2 for the preview Saturday Sept. 10th ($75 cover, no minimum!). My daughter was to take me for my birthday. Instead, as an EMT, she has left me high and dry to volunteer in Mississippi.
Now, I have a solo reservation and have been told by the management that they do not sit single people. I will be banished to the bar and be expected to be there at 6:30pm for a show that starts at 8:45pm. I'm too old for that!!
I want to sit at a table! Does anybody want to go?? I don't care who you are!! Male or female, short or tall, young or old. Nobody I know appreciates Stritch, so I would be miserable with someone who is not a fan.
Please let me know soon as I have to let the know by the end of the day or I'll be charged for two and stuck at the bar!!!

Since you just joined today let me give you a work of advice...you may want to edit the above out of your post.Sometimes sitting in a bar alone for hours is better than the alternative...
I would take you up on it but I am not in New York. Good luck, though. That is a pity.
Wish i could afford it! You'll find some one I'm sure...good luck!
You know, it seems that under the circumstances, they would seat you. It's not like we have this kind od disaster everyday. that sucks. Did you know this when you ordered the seats?

I did not know when I made the resevations that my daughter would be in Biloxi (She says she'll be back by the end of next week). I told the girl at the Resevation desk that there might be a problem and she said there probably would not be an issue as the performance was a preview and not a regualrly scheduled show. She even said dinner was not required, which is usually the case at CC.
When I called today to confirm the reservation and tell them she would not be back, I was unceremoniously told I hould be there at 6:30 for a seat at the bar. If I do this, I assure you by Showtime I will be UNDER the bar!!!
P.S. I apologize to anyone who may have taken offense in anything in my post. I hadn't meant to insult anyone. I'm new to this and slightly unsophisticated.
Are you sure they meant they would not seat you at a table AT ALL? Or just not one person at a table. Perhaps they could seat you with another party (say a party of three that has a four top?) Maybe they thought you wanted a table all to yourself, in which case I can kind of see their point. You should call back and inquire.

I told them I was willing to be seated with someone else or have them sit someone with me. They said they "don't do that".
It's become a big headache. I'll give it a while longer, then I'll call and cancel.
That really sucks.
