HUNTERSTEIN ("Frankenstein") Rush Policy

I'm aware that there is a rush policy for this show pretty similar to the one that IN THE HEIGHTS had.
I just wanted to see if someone could clarify what time they start selling the tickets, and how much they cost.
Thanks.

Posted: 10/29/07 at 4:18pmYou definitely don't want front row for this show, any other seat in the house would be better. My understanding is that they start selling rush 20 minutes before the performance. I thought it was $20, but I could be wrong.

Posted: 10/29/07 at 8:22pmI believe that during previews the rush is $25, but once the show opens, by this coming Thursday, it will be $20.

I did it tonight. They start selling it two hours before the performance. I got there at 5:30 and had to wait until 6:00 (even though I was the only one there).
It was $25. I was given the last row of the right orchestra, last seat all the way to the right.
As soon as they closed the doors for the show to begin, I moved up to the front row center. The entire row was empty. I don't know why they don't just give that row away for rush. The location was great, so I don't know what you mean about front row not being a good place to sit for this show.

Posted: 10/30/07 at 5:30amWell I'm glad you didn't mind front row. It's just very close to the stage, the deck is rather high, and from what I've heard there's a good bit of spill from the sidelight and/or backlight into that row sometimes, which some people found distracting. I think they've tried to lessen it, but I don't know if it's possible to completely eliminate it, given the design. Anyway, I'm glad you didn't mind the seats, I was just throwing that out there as a warning, given what I've heard others say.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 10:45pmHas anyone tried to get rush tickets the last few days? If so, has there been a line or anything like that b/c of the strike? Thanks!

Posted: 11/12/07 at 10:49pmWent Saturday afternoon, the first day of the strike, and had no problem getting tickets. We got there at 1 for a 3 PM show, and our seats were in the very center of the mezzanine, second row. It was a great view of everything. I don't think you should have any problems.

Posted: 11/12/07 at 10:52pmi saw the show yesterday and the orchestra was pretty full, but still some empty seats. Judging by the many "this doesn't look like Young Frankenstein" comments, most people bought through TKTS, lol.

Posted: 11/13/07 at 1:55amIs it a student rush or a regular rush? I want to see the show but not for full price. $20 will work! But I'm not a student. Thanks for the info.

Not sure if it's general rush or student rush. If it isn't student rush you can always try TKTS. I believe they've been on the board. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Ticket's are normally $69.25 so with the 25% off (the lowest percentage off at TKTS) they should come to around $50 or so.
Edit: It's a student rush.

Posted: 11/13/07 at 11:10pmFor people who have seen the show...is it better from front row mezz. center, or from say Row G or H orchestra center?
#18re: HUNTERSTEIN ('Frankenstein') Rush Policy
Posted: 11/13/07 at 11:17pmI have not sat in both places, but for what it's worth I really enjoyed my view from center mezz.

Posted: 11/13/07 at 11:36pmI saw it from Mid very far right Orchestra and it was fine. You miss a bit of the projection screen, but the seats were still good. The only reason I would say to definitely sit closer is for the beauty that is Steve Blanchard's abdomen region! yum.

Posted: 11/14/07 at 12:43amI've sat directly in the center of Row G of the orchestra and the view was perfect. However this is a show where you can also sit in the mezzanine and enjoy the view just as much.

Posted: 11/19/07 at 3:45pmHow many tickets can you purchase per student ID?
#23re: HUNTERSTEIN ('Frankenstein') Rush Policy

Two tickets per ID. $25 each!
Also unlike a few shows, they sell student rush at every performance. I know a couple of places don't sell it on like Saturday nights or something, but Frankenstein is every show.
