Had a great visit October 19-22 from Chicago. As usual, always wish I had more time to see additional shows. Caught 4 this go round.
MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL! Saturday, October 19 at 8PM. Sumptuous and beautiful. $99 seat in top row of mezzanine.
SLAVE PLAY Sunday, October 20 at 3PM. Nodded off too many times in the long middle section. $39 seat in top row of mezzanine.
FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME Sunday, October 20 at 7PM. My favorite of the 4. I laughed and cried. $59 seat in top row of mezzanine.
TINA, THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL Monday, October 21 at 8PM. Warren and the band were great. Full songs instead of snippets. Disappointed with the pedestrian staging. $109 seat in row E of front mezzanine - lots of leg room as 3 seats in row E are transfer seats.
I visited the free, outstanding HAROLD PRINCE exhibit at Lincoln Center. Hundreds of notes, letters, miniature set models, costumes, and more. The exhibit is slated to run until March 31.
Bought the TOOTSIE CD at the small Shubert Alley gift shop.
Ran into a woman at 42nd St McDonald's who I sat next to last April at HADESTOWN.
At the Winter Garden Tuesday morning, I asked the stage door attendant if I could obtain a BEETLEJUICE Playbill.
"Follow me," he said.
Soon, we were in the house walking towards the last row of the orchestra, where Playbills are often kept. I quickly marveled at the ghost light upon the stage.
"Do you think THE MUSIC MAN will land here," I asked.
"We really don't know'" he replied. "It depends on the WEST SIDE STORY run."
Thank you Broadway. See you again in April.

1. I always love being able to see the ghost light on a Broadway stage (not that it has happened often to me, but I did have a few experiences).
2. Ever since The Music Man was announced I thought it'd be best suited for the Broadway Theater, to be honest. I hope that's where it ends up, since WSS starts fairly soon, TMM is next year and they'd have most likely have the time to decide whether or not to close up shop with WSS to make room for TMM (if this makes any sense...)
