Hi,
I was wondering if I could post date an SRO ticket I have for Hair? If I could I know Post date tickets can only be used for a weeknight show so I would be looking to use it on June 9th(The show after the Tony's).
I know with regular seats you can post date but I didn't know with SRO if u could b/c I know it has to sell out for them to sell SRO but like if I post date it would they let me stand even if its not sold out, since I already have a ticket?

I'm wondering if I can past date an SRO ticket for Hair. & Use it on June 9th.
I know that SRO is only sold when the show is sold out but since I already have the ticket would they let me stand even if it's not sold out?
If it's sold only when it's sold out, isn't it sold for the performance THAT DAY? So short of you landing in the emergency room, there's not really a reason you would miss it that would justify them post-dating it.
You actually think that the first post-Tonys performance of HAIR will not be sold out?
While I admire your creative thinking, in trying to plan ahead to get the cheapest ticket for the first post-Tonys show, I am pretty sure that SRO tix are held to the same rules that other rush tix are, in that they can not be postdated.

ok so Basically what you guys are saying is I'm stuck with my SRO ticket that is no use to me now?
So I guess I should just buy a rear mezz seat.
It may also be helpful for you to ask someone at the HAIR box office these questions.
But yes, the rare times I've inquired about postdating a rush ticket (weren't for HAIR) I've been told rush tix can not be postdated.

Okay, I'll bite - why is your standing room ticket no longer of use to you right after you've purchased it? And why can't you sell it to someone else? Or even try returning it to the box office (good luck with that, though). Your story doesn't make sense, unless Anakela is right.
I am sure that you cannot. A SRO tix is ONLY good for that day. Why on earth would you go to the box office JUST to buy a tix you couldn't use? The only logical reason is to try to scam the box office for the day after the Tonys. (as stated by a previous poster)
Once again you amaze us in the worse way possible.

I didn't buy a ticket I couldn't use on purpose.
What happened was my sister won the lottery but she only won one ticket. So my mom waited online and got me an SRO ticket but then I found someone selling a seat and brought it from them.
Leaving me stuck with an SRO ticket

Well it's your fault. You are the one who knew that your mother was getting a SRO seat for you, yet still bought the other ticket. You knew you were paying more, but you still bought it anyway. Suck it up.

you're right that was stupid of me.
I was just wondering since I didn't use the SRO ticket If they would let me exchange it for another performance.
You were AT the box office....why the hell didn't you ask THEM?????
Why didn't you just use the standing room ticket to enter, and then sit in the seat? That way you'd have the ticket for the seat still left unscanned, to postdate.
Unless this seat you bought was a lotto seat, in which case I don't even know...
