Yeah, he mentioned Florida. I totally thought it was because of Channukah (I went around that time). Guess it wasn't.

cowbell, these are parts of the show where they can and do mix it up but they generally stick to a certain set of comments depending on the reaction of the crowd.

ya, no one laughed at the line...the first time i saw the show (with Michael McKean and, unfortunately, J.P.) a lot of people laughed.

Guess it is based on the crowd

If something similar happens and the first time she said something that got a laugh, of course she will say it again. I am sure you would too.

when i saw it, i think she said the bit about the "good" seats - it's difficult, i'm sure, because she doesn't want to do exactly what Jackie did - and she did everything

Bruce also said during YTTM - "Oh, Wilbur, I'm not a desperat housewife..." that got a huge applause...and there was something right before that, but i forget what it is...

Yup...he did mention "Desperate Housewives."

I can't remember what was before that...maybe because I was too busy slipping into a coma and praying for the song to be over.

Who knows...

I do love Hairspray (note the moniker!) It's probably my favorite show on Broadway. I actually started crying... lol well, not really. But when I get really excited/happy/crazed fa ngirly my eyes well up. lol I'm such a sap. But Marc Shaiman is right, andyf. If you hate it so much why did you waste 100 dollars?
