I guess George Wendt just went!
I haven't read or heard any reports on his stint in the show.

I'll go back to a favourite of the original producers of the original prodiction planned for London in 2003/4........
Des Barritt, currently the wizard in London's 'Wicked'

I'll go with that! Barry Humphries sadly just hasn't got the stamina any more.

The good thing with Edna, she/he does it with such a dazzling sparkle in the eye, when Edna (Michael Ball) and Wilbur (the superb Ian Talbot), do there duet, has me delirious!

I have tried to think who can play the next Edna, but unfortunately draw a blank.

Oh wait a minute if they changed Michael and Ian, how about Ant and Dec making there West End debut.

Just listening to Hairspray and listening to the lacklustre 'timeless to me', it is not a patch on the one that is done by Michael and Ian. So want to make a personal plea to the producers to pur us out of our misery and bring out the London CD, if you do the excellent 'timeless to me' please, please and please record it live, this song needs the warts and all!

So come on apart from Songanddanceman and Scripps who are unavailable, who would make the next Edna and Wilbur?
