I'm weird, but I'm so excited they said "extremely overweight". Most of the Tracy's are in the slightly to moderatly chubby range, hardly close to fat. As talented as they are, I think the fatter girls sometimes get left out of the loop. For roles in any performing arts arena, even now, Opera.
It's time a actual fat girl had a chance at the role. The closest they've had was MJW, and she still wasn't quite a Ricki Lake.
I'm sure whomever they pick will be awesome though.

Posted: 1/21/06 at 10:35pmi totally agree with you. it really isn't fair when they cast girls who have to wear fat suits. i mean, this role is like any character actress role's dream since we can't play thetypical ingenue roles. (sigh)

Posted: 1/21/06 at 10:40pmya know, i dont think it would hurt to send in a headshot and resume in anyway regardless of fitting the character description or not. i mean ya never know what they are looking for. they could be looking to pull some people in the ensembles and stuff. i dont know, what do y'all think.
