I know people always ask about lotto, but has anyone done Hairspray lotto recently and if so was it full of people or easy to get tixs and what type of tixs did you get. I need to know because I wanna try it when I go to NYC on the 29th.
My friend and I went at the end of May (right after we lost the Wicked lottery) and were surprised when we got to the theatre and no one was there. We asked at the box office if they had a lottery and the guy said "we did have one 15 minutes ago and no one showed up so do you want two lottery tickets"? I don't know if that's typical or not but even by the time the show rolled around there were only 2 other people in "lottery row" with us. It was on a Wednesday, but still...
That was about 3 weeks ago.

Afetr I left the matinee on Wednesday, there were maybe five people waiting for the lottery.

This past Wednesday, the Wicked lottery was also dead.
Are the lottery seats still the last row? Cause there was talk before saying otherwise. Wicked is usually less hectic on Wednesdays, especially Matinees.
thursday night there werent many people there. and yeah there still in the mezz
How are they in the mezz? Are they really far away? Would you rather do standing room or lottery?
ive done both sro and lotto. i like sro better only because its closer, but the lotto seats arent that bad

definitely go with standing room. I've won the lottery and the seats are in the back row of the mezz, and the niel simon is HUGE... I would sacrifice having a seat for a closer view.
It may have changed now that Marissa is back. I was there when Carly was still on. I personally didn't mind the rear mezz seats. It was really far away, but I could still see everything just fine. I had seen the show before in Toronto so I didn't mind if I wasn't seeing it up close. I've never tried standing room at that theatre though so I can't really compare.
The lottery has not changed, and is expected to remain the last row until the fall when a decision will be made.
