I saw both the 1st and second 2nd non-eq tour companies and enjoyed it thoroughly both times. It's actually one of my favorite shows. The tower was present both times I saw it (even though the local venues it came to were fairly large). I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. I would gladly see it a 3rd time if it came back to town.

Does the tour go past April? There are no dates listed past April I believe. Just hoping they come back to the east coast in the summertime, I'd love to give it another shot.
They'll be in DE next month but I'm hoping to get to NYC to see Hair before the cast change so unless I hit a good scratch off it aint happening with both shows Hairspray On Tour
Sometimes I envy you single folks!!!!

A lot of the Network touring shows only have dates until that time as well. This tour is coming an hour or so from me this march, right before wicked comes. I LOVE LOVE wicked, so I was wondering, will this show be worth every penny I spend?

"Hairspray" is also presented on the new ship Oasis of the Seas (along with a new John Tartaglia puppet musical for kids). The on-ship theatre seats 1,300. The band rises from the stage floor during some songs and remains below the stage for others. I was impressed by the sets, costumes and level of singing. Can't tell you any of the actor's names as there was no program avaiable when I saw it. I understand there were auditions in several cities.

Usually cruise ship entertainment can be "so-so", but this was actually quite good. The direction was similar to the tour, but the show was trimmed and without intermission. I suspect it was the Las Vegas edition (90 minutes).
