Hairspray Standing Room Information?

How is the view? Where do you stand? Is it worth going? What time should I get to the theater?

I love standing room..you get to dance and the view is fantastic...no complaints here...if you get SR at the side of the theatre close to the front door, you will be most happy during YOU CANT STOP THE BEAT!

It sounds great. I really want to go. I plan on going on a Friday night where it will most likely be VERY crowded. What advice do you have? What time should I get there. I get out of school at 3:20, so, I could get there by like 3:40. Is that good?

When I went, I got there at 8 am, and got some of the last SRO spots left.

You went there 8 AM on a Friday? Gee....maybe I should get there as early as possible. Before school is out of the question. It's way too early for me.

I saw Hairspray in SRO and I thought they were wonderful. Such a deal! Great view and a great price! I went a long time ago when the entire original cast was still in the show and I got to the box office at like 7-7:30am on Wednesday. About a half an hour later it got INSANELY busy and MANY people were not lucky enough to get SRO tickets. So, I say your best bet is to go when there is a matinee and an evening, your chances are better at scoring some tickets. Good luck!
