BOB,

those lyrics are sung by an insanely petulant teenage girl trying to embarass someone else within the context of a 'self-penned' simple-minded pop song called "COOTIES"! You ought to choose your battles a little more carefully!

And Mr. Shaiman never once dishes Fred Ebb's work nor compares his work to theirs...once again, choose your battles with more precision, you might then actually make a point!

Off to dance the "Cooties" dan

re:Bye Bye Matt Morrison, New Link Larkin in town.

well, I've actually seen Matt, John West and Adam in the role, I've seen Terron (Seaweed) in the tour, and I've seen Richard Blake in SNF and in person

Matt is great and should go far
Adam & John were good, but a little too light (as am I!)
Terron never for a sec reads as too old onstage
Richard is drop dead sexy and I can't wait to see him in it!

do you guys really now judge people's performances by the photos used online?

and bashing the folks at Bernie Telsey??

HAIRSPRAY tour and WICKED
 Nov 3 2003, 10:30:36 AM
being a bit of a HAIRSPRAY fanatic, me and a pal took the train up
to Boston (which was pretty painless) to see the last show in Boston
(my spies had told me this was my chance to see Keala Settle play
Tracey)!

well, turns out Terron Brooks was also out as Seaweed, so I got to
see two understudies. I was really shocked how good they were
(guess I dont know why I was so surprised)

Keala didnt miss a beat...a big strong voice (less pointed than other
Traceys)

Gertrude Lawrence starred in THE KING AND I by Rodgers & Hammerstein, who produced ANNIE GET YOUR GUN starring Ethel Merman!

Mr. Hankey's Xmas Classics from the South Park guys (Marc Shaiman included) is beyond belief...hysterical!!!
saw Little Shop tonight
 Oct 8 2003, 11:53:02 PM
saw Little Shop tonight and thought it was delightful...can't imagine what anyone's problem with it could be...and I am 43, saw it Off-Broadway w/ Ellen Greene, saw the movie, and now tonight...loved it all 3 times...thought Kerry & Hunter were great...and the audience had a great time...well, nite nite!!
re: Hairspray Standing Room Information?
 Sep 21 2003, 10:53:14 AM
I love standing room..you get to dance and the view is fantastic...no complaints here...if you get SR at the side of the theatre close to the front door, you will be most happy during YOU CANT STOP THE BEAT!

re: Hairspray Tour; 9/14
 Sep 15 2003, 11:12:32 AM
hiya...I agree with you so much (I saw the 1st preview) but you're 'slightly' mistaken about the orchestra...I asked the conductor (can't remember his name) and he said there are 5 'touring' musicians, but more added in each town... the only difference from Broadway is the 3 'real' string players are now replaced by 1 keyboard

I myself couldnt tell, but loved being able to see the band as opposed to on Broadway where they are covered by the stage
