Is anyone planning to see this? What is the student rush policy and how is availability for it? The thing is I might have to take the commuter rail to get there and I don't want to have to go through all this trouble of getting there and find out that I can't get rush tickets.
Side Note: How would you get there via MBTA? Can you get there on the T or would you have to take the commuter rail? I would be coming from the B Line alongside Boston University.

i REALLY want to attend and am trying to work it out so that I can. Their box office staff was USELESS when I questioned transportation. I didn't ask for the rush ticket policy, but that was the one thing they told me.. rush is day-of, whatever is left, %50 off.
Someone MUST review this production......
It's opening tonight!
I'm not sure I'll check it out because I saw the tour 4 times when it came to Boston. I <3 Hairspray.

well, while this show has the costumes from the Las Vegas station, there will be plenty of shocks and suprises.
i live down the street from the NSMT. There is no easy way to get there by commuter rail, it doesnt' drop you off near it. BUT the commuter rail stop at "monserart" is about 5-10 minuets by cab.
if you see it let me know if it was any good !
It's killing me that I can't go tonight for opening, but I promised my special someone that i'd wait for him...so it may be a while. I may have to sneak there before hand.
NSMT is not accessible by rail or by bus, but as was said, it's a 5 min. cab ride from the North Beverly station.
The rush policy is not just for students...any seats left over are sold the day of the show at 50% off, so rush seats range from about 22-about 35.
I'm hoping this won't dissapoint. NSMT scored a homerun with "Superstar"
Here is how I suggest people get to NSMT by public transportation/cab from Boston.
From North Station take the Newburyport / Rockport line to Beverly Depot. I suggest Beverly Depot as both lines stop there and it is a much more populated train stop. It has a restaurant, phone, ATM, and is covered if it is raining.
From Beverly Depot it is less than 5 minutes to NSMT by cab. There is a pickup/drop off area at the theatre… you can pre arrange a taxi pick up from Beverly Depot and NSMT knowing the show is 2h 40min with intermission.

Hope this is helpful
BROADWAYWORLD REVIEW
Paul C. Vogt was my favorite cast member on Mad TV. He is awesome!
I finally saw the show last night, and may I make one suggestion?
Please light a fire under the orchestra!
They sound friggin amazing, but dull.
During Good Morning Baltimore, I was in pain because it dragged so much. You could tell the singers were being held back. And my companion, who'd never seen the show said "It was FANTASTIC, but what was with the dirge at the beginning?"
Overall, fabulous production, really great, but PLEASE....tell the orchestra to cut loose!
