Did you see the show? 54,000 people did see it during the shows 4 week run. If HSM is not your cup of tea that is fine, come to our premiere of THREE MUSKETEES.
Reading the reviews I cant seem to find it called "Community Theatre" anywhere.

NSMT did not partner with Sacramento Music Circus on BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Sacramento hired the same director; he cast most of the same talent and rented our costume package. There was no official collaboration.
When NSMT is given a title with restrictions like this, we have to do something to insure that the subscription campaign goes out on time and our business and cash flow is not interrupted. Of course we make it easy to guess. We just have to stick to the agreement of not official

This 250K rumor is ridiculous and untrue. NSMT paid nothing beyond the stadard licensing agreement. We just had to lobby hard to get them early. Simple as that.

Here is how I suggest people get to NSMT by public transportation/cab from Boston.
From North Station take the Newburyport / Rockport line to Beverly Depot. I suggest Beverly Depot as both lines stop there and it is a much more populated train stop. It has a restaurant, phone, ATM, and is covered if it is raining.
From Beverly Depot it is less than 5 minutes to NSMT by cab. There is a pickup/drop off area at the theatre… you can pre arrange a taxi pick up from Beverly Depot and NSMT knowing the show is 2h 40min with intermission.

Bridie Carroll will be playing Tracy Turnblad in the Regional Theatre Premiere of HAIRSPRAY at North Shore Music Theatre.
Bridie was last seen in Bye Bye Birdie (Rosie), 42nd Street (Anytime Annie), and I Love A Piano (Sadie). She received a BFA cum laude from The Boston Conservatory in 2005. Other credits include: City of Angels (Oolie/ Donna), The Rivals (Lucy), You’re A… Charlie Brown (Lucy), Anything Goes (Bonnie), and Forward (original cast recording).

There was no fire.
The fire alarm was set off when the particle detectors were tripped during the end of the show due to a heavy haze effect. It was a false alarm and nothing more. The PA voice you hear is an auomatic prerecorded warning. Unfortunatly there is no way to stop it once the alarm is tripped.

NSMT did another version of Jekyll & Hyde back in the late 90's. I would not look for it on NSMT schedule any time soon.

Since when does AIDA have to be Black? So shouldn't Radames and Amneris be dark skinned too.. they are Egyptian, after all!
I believe in the script it says aida can be played by any actress, of any ethnicity. If not, I know it was a directive by Disney when we developed AIDA: School Edition las summer. Yes, our Aida was black.. but so was our Radames.

I beg you to give this new concept a chance. This was how NSMT did it in 2004. The kids are in the opening and closing only! It worked so beautifully! I cried without fail avey time.
Patricia Wilcox was our Choreographer.. and I think she is staging and choreographing that production in Westchester... as her hubby is in it and some of our cast.
At NSMT the opening took place in live ruins rather than a museum.. a few families milled about near some urns and bricks.. the br

I dont think it is a cost issue. As they print the yellow Playbill screen even when they are black and white. Some shows go back to color later in a run.. it may come with major cast changes... I am really unsure of this.
Unles a show's one color logo is Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or black... it will cost the same as full color to mix the custom pantone color match.

North shore Music Theatre does not present tours. This, as all the shows at NSMT, is designed to live on NSMT's stage only, and will be over on November 20.

Yes.. it is true.. it was not a mistake. The lighting effect was cut for artistic reasons.. not technical ones. The effect workd fine.. wheit it surrounded the actors with a wall of uplights that painted the haze white and put the actors behind a wall of light. The cut was done byt he creative forces. And everyone was game. The audience seemed to like it. Thanks for coming to THE FULL MONTY! Cant wait to read a full review after opening.  Wish us luck!

I use EBay to keep up my collection of CHICAGO posters ... I have @ 40 from around the world.. both original and revival / tour (this is just one wall of my loft).
I also own Annie Gloden's orange snakeskin fringe boots from THE FULL MONTY. Bought those from BC/EFA.

My big problem with Horizontal Headshots are the ones that are all face... forehead to Chin and thats it, they become very hard to crop and work with for other purposes.
