Hairspray lead actor Jay Brazeau experienced a minor stroke during a performance Thursday night, leading to the cancellation of the show.
Brazeau is expected to make a full recovery and will return to the musical at a later date, according to Nicole McLuckie, Arts Club Theatre communications manager.
"We are currently rehearsing our understudy and performances will continue Friday evening. We wish Jay a speedy recovery and look forward to his return," McLuckie said in a statement.
