Before anyone asks, or gives me the link, I checked playbill.com ( http://www.playbill.com/celebritybuzz/article/82428.html )but they do not say what time to get there.
So...
What time do you get there and how crowded is it for a Sunday matinée?
Also, it says two tickets per person, but can you only get one?
Thanks
I'm guessing you can get only one, but try to find someone who is also getting one ticket and pair up with them. It will increase both of your chances of winning :)

I'm still not sure if I'm definitely doing it, so I don't want to ask anyone yet. But, do you know what time to get there and if it's crowded?
They start taking names 3 hours before the show. For example, I went to a 7pm show, so they took names starting at 4pm. Oh yeah, and the drawing is always 30 minutes after that. I have no idea how crowded it is for a Sunday. Sorry! I know that Tuesday I went though, everyone ended up winning. And you can request to only get 1 ticket. And you should be fine for time, as long as you get your name in by the 30 minute deadline.

So for 2:00, I have to get there at 11:00?!?
Yep, and the drawing is at 11:30. Well, even if you got there at 11:20, you would still be allowed to put your name in. At least with the time, you could go grab lunch or something.

That's true.

It is 3 hours before, EXCEPT on Sundays because the box office does not open until noon. On Sundays, the lottery starts at 12:00 and they draw the names at 12:30.
But even with the box office opening at 12 and the drawing being at 12:30 it is still three hours before showtime. Remember that the show on Sunday doesn't start until 3.
Most lottos do two and a half hours prior to show time whereas hairspray does three. For example, If you wanted to do the Wicked lotto you would get to the theatre at 5:30 for an 8 PM show with the drawing being done at six. But, for Hairspray you would be there at five with the drawing a half hour later. I guess that the plus side of this is that if you loose the Hairspray lotto you can always go try another lottery.
I highly doubt that there is going to be a crowd out for the lotto. It is one of the easiest ones to win on Broadway. I remember doing it on a saturday afternoon during the summer and everyone but 3 people got tickets.
I didn't check the show time, so when the OP mentioned a show time at 2:00, I assumed the Sunday show was at 2, since the thread was asking about Sunday.
You can always get one ticket. You can only get up to two tickets. But if you don't have someone to go with when you get there find someone who only needs one, then when they win you can get one ticket and vis versa for you.
