So Hamilton Australia just opened. Has anyone seen it?
I was there at 1st preview and while the show itself was spectacular and the energy from the crowd was amazing, I felt a bit underwhelmed by the performances from most of the principal cast, esp the actors who play Angelica and Aaron Burr. However, Jason Arrow as Hamilton was AMAZING. His voice is almost identical to Lin Manuel-Miranda and he acts the hell outta the songs as well.
What does everyone else think?

I've been following it on social media since I was already following some of the cast from their Book of Mormon days (last time I was in Australia was right after it opened in Melbourne). I'm very curious about the show there! A friend of mine was also at the first preview (it doesn't open for another two weeks-ish) and had very positive things to say as well. I'm so happy you get a show at all, much less at 100% capacity.

Maybe not confirmed-confirmed yet, but it sounds like the production is heading to Melbourne next year.

That doesn’t surprise me. A lot of the big musicals start in Sydney then move to Melbourne. Or, sometimes the other way around. For example, Come From Away did this, as well as Wicked and many others.
