I was wondering. I have NYC tickets for next month. According to stub hub I could sell my ticket for a minimum of $1,200 for the performance I am supposed to attend. It was just announced that Hamilton will be coming to Atlanta next year, so I know for sure I can see it then. Should I sell my NYC ticket? Is it likely that I'd actually make $1,200?

You'd certainly make a profit by reselling your Broadway ticket. Maybe it would go for $1,200, maybe not. But the performance on Broadway would assuredly be "better" than the one in the 4,600+ seat Fox Theatre (unless you're into that kind of thing). Is the profit worth the difference? Maybe, maybe not, ultimately only you can answer that question.
I highly doubt you'd get 1,200 for it. Maybe $400 (if the face value was $200), but not much more. Just go see the show now instead of having to wait.
Have you seen the show yet? Seeing it at the Richard Rodgers is something quite special. I'd recommend keeping your ticket.
It's definitely a risk. Normally stubhub prices go down as the performance date approaches. You can probably resell it for less than $500 easy or less than $849 of it is a premium ticket. The box office normally releases premium tix priced at $849 a few days before or a week before the performance so that may be taking away business from the resellers.
Remember the rule in ticket reselling --- it's only worth whatever price someone is willing to pay for it! Good luck!
