I got 85 percent, missed a few easy ones, got lucky on others.
My wife and daughter got 60 percent. It annoyed them, but they attribute this to my obsession with the show.

Really? I find that so ODD !!! I took the quiz and got 85%. Those questions were not ones I got wrong...I get that I am not the arbiter of what is 'average" or 'typical', but -- anyone who has actually SEEN the show and who THINKS for 10 seconds can figure out the answer to number 18...!
NY Historical Society had a Hamilton Quiz happening over July 4. It was great fun and I was CERTAIN I'd win. Participated with my family after having scoped the prizes and deciding it was worth 30 minutes (it was live and held in the vaulted library there).
It was a ton of fun but we LOST so completely. I liked to chalk it up to the fact that they threw in some Non-Hamilton questions by asking about other country's currencies, but I have to admit there were a couple of fundamental Hamilton questions I did get wrong. Just like on this, only an 85% ... not really top score.

The key word in the question can be understood in different ways and thus yield different answers.

If you mean the word "ambitious," that is taken directly from a comment that Miranda writes in the margin of the libretto.
