Hamilton Stagedoor/Cast Appearances

I bought my son tix to see Hamilton in late November... He knows he won't be seeing Lin or Phillipa, but who do you think will be there. He REALLY wants to see Reneé Elise Goldsberry, so do  u think she will be there? Does she usually come out the Stagedoor? Thanks!

Hamilton Stagedoor/Cast Appearances

I've seen Hamilton twice, and here was my experience:

The first time, a matinee, only Daveed, Chris Jackson and Andrew Chapelle (who went on that day as Mulligan/Madison) signed autographs.  Chris was in a hurry to get to one of his kids' events, but he still signed for every person there (and it was a mob scene), though he didn't take photos.  Daveed took his time, joked with everyone and took lots of selfies.

The second time, several performers came out - Lin, Oak, Daveed, Rory O'Malley, and Leslie.

None of the ensemble and none of the women came out either time.

Biggest gripe is that the stagedoor gets packed with people who didn't see that show.  So even if you're the first one out the door, there's already a mob there and you can't get close.  I think this limits the number of performers who can handle coming out to face the crowd.  On the other hand, the performers who do, make it to every single person there.

It's tough to say who will still be there, since it's so far away, but I did read an article with Renee where she said she'd stay on as long as she felt she could bring something to the role.

When I saw the show in May, Renee did come out, as did Daveed, Chris, Anthony and Rory. But there's no guarantee, and yes, that stage door is crazy (though may be less so after Lin leaves).

Hamilton Stagedoor/Cast Appearances

My experience has varied with the stage door. First off, since I live in NYC, I've never stayed for stage door after watching the performance. I normally went when it's a nice evening out last fall and a few months ago. The other posters are right. Fans tend to congregate at stage door roughly an hour before the end of the show. Most saw the show earlier during the matinee or the day before.

More people from the cast came out when it was beautiful weather outside last fall. When I went a few months ago, Dahveed, Rory, and Christopher came out.  Last week my friend went and only ensemble came out. I guess it varies and it depends on the cast's schedule that week (last week was busy with Tony rehearsals, press stuff, etc.)
