Now that the lottery is online, does anyone know what the story is with standing room tickets? Do they sell them when the box office opens now or have they not been having any lately?
I heard somewhere that they were only selling SRO to friends and family of the cast. I don't know if this is true tho.

I we t into the box office and asked and received a verry long winded answer.... If I remember correctly, the gist of it was "if we have any standing room left, it goes to the cancelation line"... I haven't heard any reports of that happening though, so I'm assuming they are giving it to the cast (though the box office rep wouldent say that directly)
I also went and asked the day after the online lottery crashed and got a non direct and very terse response. Something along the lines of them not knowing what they were going to do with them. I too have heard that they are going to friends of the production.

Standing room gets first offered to friends and families of the cast and orchestra (I don't know for how much, if they charge them anything at all). Those that go un claimed get sold to cancellation for $40 (though, I've also heard $70, but I've only seen them go for 40).
When I was there, there were three standing room tickets sold to cancellation and the girls who got them later told us that they were standing next to people who said they were all friends and family of cast, crew and orchestra.
