Hamilton cast changes and rodgers seating...

After my first broadway show (wicked) about 4-5 months ago, my girlfriend started talking about wanting to see Hamilton. She wanted tickets for her birthday, so I was able to pick up some rear center mezzanine tickets in Row D. Any thoughts on Center Rear Mezzanine tickets Row d in terms of view?

Also, the show is in late-June. Who will be missing from the cast by then? Is that before the 1 year mark?

Most of the cast should still be there...their year contracts are up in mid-July.



The first time I saw it was from row D, too -- to the side. You won't be close enough for facial expressions, but you can see everything. Have a great time!

That's almost exactly where I saw it last month. rear mezzanine center, Row E. The Richard Rodgers is a pretty small theatre, and the incline is steep, both of which makes rear mezzanine seem a lot closer than other places. The View From My Seat photo is about right.

Yeah, you're not going to get close-ups. But for Hamilton, you get the advantage of a panoramic view of the staging and choreography. There are several numbers (I don't spoil them) where rear mezzanine actually has its advantages. And if you're lucky enough to see Leslie Odom Jr., who plays Burr, he belts out his big songs to the folks in the rafters. (Don't you assume who you will see, though. People get sick (Lin-Manuel Miranda had laryngitis the day we saw it, although I did get to meet him outside the theatre as a result.) But as others have noted, the cast shouldn't start turning over in large numbers until mid-July.

As birthday presents go, that sounds like a pretty good one. Enjoy the show!

I saw it from rear mezzanine center row B back in November, and it was fine. As others have said, the rear mezzanine at the Richard Rogers seems a lot closer than in many other theaters.

Now let's talk about the leg room.....OUCH
