only 7 inches predicted for NY now. won't be bad at all. DC going to get more than two feet, though.
hearing anywhere from 3-5 inches upwards to one foot, depending on which station you watch/listen to. always hoping for the lower amounts, I ain't getting any younger to shovel this crap.

Build a snow fort outside the theater! Use snowballs to encourage ticket holders to give you their tickets.
I have a ticket for the matinee on Sunday. I doubt I'll be able to get out of DC. Contemplating putting it on Stub Hub. Will have to make my mind up shortly.
What are the chances of shows being dark Saturday? The mayor is already holding press conferences. I hope they don't cancel cuz I'm going
as in the past with snow storms, Broadway shows will always go on as long as mass transit is up & running. If there's a way for people to get to these shows, Broadway will remain open. This is also likely the best chance to see shows like HAMILTON, BOOK OF MORMON & LION KING. Expect snow day discounts to pop up, too, for many shows. Most at 50% off or more.
Don't be surprised at how many people show up during the snow hoping for HAMILTON cancellations. Many New York locals will have the same idea.

it's going to be 5 to 8 inches in NYC. that is it. no shows will go dark.
Reminds me of when I trekked in three feet of snow to see the IN THE HEIGHTS tour. Good good times.
I made it to "Wonderful Town" in 3 feet of snow (yes, Ms. Murphy was in) but not to the recent "Heiress" during Sandy. Snow is infinitely easier to negotiate than hurricane-slash-"super storms."
I have a line sitter coming at a certain time and wonder if I should push him back and still be safe. I'm feeling kinda guilty to make them sit in snow any extra time but I also don't want to miss being in front.

some models projecting as low as 2 inches for NY. I really think youll be okay and do not need to worry about anything
the storm totals for the NYC area keep going down. They keep thinking the storm is going to stay further south than originally thought. Might be 6 inches or less overall, which is very good news. South NJ, Philly area looking like a foot+ plus they're very concerned about coastal flooding. DC/Baltimore area might see up to 2 foot. YIKES!!
This is slightly unrelated to the original topic, but I don't want to start another Hamilton thread, so, here's my question:
How do resale tickets work? I was trying to help a family member look for tickets to Hamilton on ticketmaster, and of course the only seats available were resale seats, some which go for over $1,000 a piece. Who sets these resale prices? The production? Ticketmaster? Or the individual who is reselling them?

The seller inputs how much they want and then TM adds fees. So if they say they want $600, your cost is going to be $700+
The Ticketmaster resale program is so sketchy, so scalper-friendly, it's just shocking. It's a huge part of why you can't get into Hamilton on top of the hype. But it makes Ticketmaster even more money, so I guess it makes sense. Disgraceful.
I am very confused with the weather. Weather.gov says there is a blizzard watch for NYC. I'm already here, so it doesn't ruin me getting in. Just worried about my plans somehow getting ruined because of panic.
Don't panic, and you'll be fine. New Yorkers won't be panicking, so if there's any panic, it's just tourists.

The show will go on and tickets will continue to be nearly impossible to obtain. I know a lot of locals are hoping that the snow will cause some out of towners to change their plans, but demand is so high, I don't expect to see a dip in pricing.

The mayor is acting like the world is ending and he's going to ruin my weekend
The news ABC said as of now 6:21 all shows are on for tomorrow but that could very much change!
12-18" planned for NYC
any deals come out?? Last January's big storm was $40-$50 tickets for some shows.
At the Lottery this evening they announced that Lotto and Standing room will NOT be available tomorrow.
