Saw the show tonight. The cast is incredible. Jay Armstrong Johnson, Allison Case, and Keala Settle were the standouts. I feel like this show doesn't get any appreciation on here. Anyone else enjoy it? The set was one of the only flaws I can think of. I thought the choreography was clever for the storyline.
I saw it a week ago and really enjoyed it. Didn't think I would, based on the responses from people on here, but was pleasantly surprised. Obviously it's not like the flashy musicals that are so popular (which I totally enjoy). It had heart.
I really dig this show. I am also a fan of Trey as well as Phish so this was the show of the spring that I was looking forward to the most. I loved the show and love the score. I find that the score is something wonderful and is something that puts me in my "happy place." But, to be fair, Trey's music does do that to me so I am not at all surprised that this show 's score is any different.
