I would be happy to see Karmine in any role full time. From what I've seen of her singing other roles, she could handle any of them with ease (although her Mimi is my favorite by far).
As for being too old, I agree with Em. Maybe she is older than Mimi is supposed to be, but so is just about everyone else who plays the role, I'm sure. And to see her perform you would never know she was "too old". Of everyone I have seen she is by far my favorite.
They need to give Colin Hanlon a shot at the role full-time. He's been an understudy for years now. The man is so talented. I don't see what's stopping them from giving it to him for some time.

now karmine is definately older that most of the other people that have played the role. but it wss just a joke
just like when i call her my country mimi.
I still love her. and her voice is one of the best to ever do the role. I'm hoping that they keep casting people like Karmine and Antonique..mimi's with a voice.
I'm so tired of hearing girls scream through "Another day"
off topic as always
but can i just ask? how lovely were dominique, Karmine, and Antoniques "Another day"
and that riff antonique would do *dies*
Personally, I didn't love Antonique. Don't get me wrong, her voice is absolutely amazing and those riffs give me chills, but her acting just didn't do it for me. I felt like she was way over the top, especially through the second act. During "Goodbye Love" she was so emotional she couldn't even get the words out half the time. Now, I've only seen her once so I don't know if she extra emotional b/c she's leaving soon, or if something had upset her backstage, or if this is just how she always portrays Mimi through the second act, but it was too much for me.
