Happiness - Student Rush?

Does Happiness have a student rush policy? I know Lincoln Center has some sort of student membership program called student tix but it appears to be closed to new members.

$20 tickets 2 hours prior to curtain.

Beware: student rush is not available every day. Lincoln Center's student rush policy is the absolute worst program out there. It is available subject to what ever ticket sales are like at 6 pm for that day or 2 hours before the matinee, and whatever the box office people feel like. For instance, when I saw the show last night, they had student rush available, when I went up to see if there were student rush tickets available on Friday, they didn't have enough left. Last weekend, there were none and they didn't even acknowledge that they had a student rush program. A few weeks before, the people working there didn't know they had student rush. Back on the night when GLORIOUS ONES had a CD signing at Barnes and Noble across the street, I walked over to LCT to see if they had student rush available for South Pacific, since it was listed online on a few websites. They said we do not normally do student rush for any show. I said but it says it on these websites and he just responded with oh...that's a mistake. It's not available on these nights...once in a blue moon on any random day during the week subject to change and subject to availability, there will be rush. So, long story short, there is no guarantee that there are even rush tickets at the box office. They will not tell you if you call so in the end, you're going to have to make the trek there (and it's a little out of the way for some people) for possibly no good news.

Ugh, that's disappointing. I live in Queens so it would definitely be a trek for nothing.

Do you know if it's been on tkts lately?

Has anyone had any luck with this rush? I really want to see this, but don't feel like going to Lincoln Center if they might not be doing rush for that performance, it seems really hit or miss.

Just a heads up...

I did the student rush today. Got there at noon and had no problem getting a ticket (no line or anyone else waiting or anything). I got 4th row center on the aisle for $20! Plus it was also on TKTS.

Definitely see this show if you can. I was so emotionally moved to tears throughout the piece and only hope that they put these wonderful songs and performances on cd!

I def. think i want to see this show again. Like, I didn't love it, but I enjoyed it while I watched it, if that makes sense. I know it's not perfect, and I'm not sure I'd even consider myself a fan, but I liked it while watching it. I loved Jenny Powers, so she's reason enough for me to see it again.

desiree armfeldt - I know this is probably too late now, but I rushed on a Wed. mat on 5/20 and got a ticket no problem.

There were only a few seats open that I could see so I don't know how much busier it'll be for other performances, especially now with it closing on the 7th (for anyone who was thinking about rushing these last couple of days).


Drunk Chita Rivera - They're pretty strict on "the college students only" thing. The box office guy specifically asked for my college ID and took a good look at it before printing my ticket.
