And me, as well!
One of my favorite Raul parts from the show is when he and Mr. Scrumptious are trying to shake hands. It's just so random and funny. I also loved the part when he "forgot" Truly's last name. "Miss...Nauseous?...Bumptious?" It was something like that. OH! And there was also a funny part when everyone onstage was laughing at Caractacus (Raul) and he did something funny. Ahhh, sorry that was so vague. I can't describe it. There was also the funny butt wiggle...
Okay, I think I'm done now.

"Truly... Truly.... what was your surname? Nauseous, was it? Bumptious?"
He has a brilliant on-stage sense of humour.

Is this your new "AIDA", Emcee?
Gav, have you seen it?

I will here in Cali. They're doing an Equity production, and we know the crew captain...so basically, he said..."Hey, you want to come to Aida?"
So, I'm excited! Hopefully, the cast will be good too...but they will never...I repeat...never...be as good as Adam, Shere, or...oh, damn. I forgot the other one. :-/

I meant Chitty, but that sounds really cool.
Even though they probably won't be as good (even though I never saw the OBC of AIDA, so I really wouldn't know).

Oh, Chitty! Sadly, my mom says she won't take me to NYC until I'm out of high school. But if there is ever a cast recording, I will be the first to get my hands on it!

It's.... I think it's a little bit different.
I fell for AIDA so hard, when I was a lot younger. I had no idea how... how mediocre it really was. Chitty... I love mostly for its leading man, and secondarily for just how fun it is. It's got that magical quality about it, and can just lift your spirits so well. I don't think I'll ever replace AIDA, but this can be my latest big, flashy, mediocre-yet-lovable adoptee.

I see.
But it definitely is quite possibly the most fun I've ever had in the theatre (maybe tied with DRS). When Chitty flew I was grinning like an idiot and bouncing around in my seat. I think I embarrassed my little sister. :-P And when Raul flew in on that thingymabobber, I wanted to cheer, but instead I just clapped my hands really quietly. I cheered for him extra loudly at the end, though.

ha! The swing? I love it! He didn't get entrance applause tonight, and I was very disappointed.

Does he usually? He didn't on Thursday. I mean, I doubt he's really that big of a name in the 5 to 11 year old crowd. :-P

That's why I don't get that he does - it's lovely, don't get me wrong. I think people do it because they know he's the lead when he says his name, or just because the entrance is so visually spectacular. The first time I saw it, my mom and I tried to start it, to no avail. Other than tonight, he got it, if a bit delayed.

The first time I saw the show it was the weekend after it opened, and the whole place burst into applause the second he entered. I was surprised on Thursday night when no one did.
If watching is all you're going to do, then you're going to watch your life pass by without you.

Ah, I see. Well, most of the leads got their own private entrance applause from me, if not from anyone else. I was actually quite impressed with how well behaved most of the audience was. There were only maybe 2 times when I heard an inappropriate noise.

Aw, gav, it's okay. I figured it out just by watching and I was far away from the stage. It doesn't make it any less magical or exciting! You really can't tell. It really looks like it is flying by itself.
