She was born on February 2, 1925. I had chance to see her show at the Austin Cabaret Theatre in 2008. In this picture, Elaine is with the head of the Austin Cabaret Theatre, Stuart Moulton. I had wanted to ask for an autograph or take a picture with her, but was too scared to approach her.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
