Thirded LOL. I grew up on his TV specials and still miss them. Thanks for the memories Bob! We'll never see another entertainer quite like him. I just ordered his new DVD set.
Thanks for the good read Rob

congradulations Bob Hope! Multiply your current life span by four and you will be almost the same age as Caol Channing.
On a side note >> I belive Bob Hope was born on the day of ms. Channing's first performance as Dolly Levi.
LOL!!! OOO, maybe Carol & Bob can play Dolly and Horace in a "senior" version of Hello, Dolly!"
"Hello Rudy, well hello, wait, what's your name again?"
"It's so nice to be back....wait, where am I!?"
I will down in the vicinity of the brand new newly named "Bob Hope Square", which is the corner of Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood this evening. I look forward to seeing this tribute to a great man and legend. Happy Birthday, Bob!!!!

Great reads guys. Thanks.
After all he did for the troops, I only wish there was some way to do something wonderful to honor him. If anyone deserves a long, happy life it is him. I pray he has the health to enjoy it as well.
Happy B-day, Mr. Hope. You sure live up to your name.

Many years ago (too many to count) I lived nextdoor to Bob Hope at his massive complex in Toluca Lake (where he still is now) - even had a nine hole golf course in his backyard! Toluca Lake is right next to Burbank in the Valley.
Never actually met my nextdoor neighbor but he would always smile and give me a big wave as I drove out of my driveway while he was taking out his trash to the street (YES, the man took out his own trash...I thought that was quite unusual for a man who at the time was one of Hollywood's biggest stars).
Always think fondly of those big, friendly waves to a total stranger! Says something about the man, I think (as does the trash thing...)

Great Story! And it even has a lurid and sensational "Tabloid" title.
