I'll be there this evening. Full report when I get back from the party!
LOL!!!!!
Iron lung. The only thing that really moved me in the show...
*sigh*
Well, that and trying to leave the theater afterwards...quite the stampede.
Yet fun and colorful.

BTW, i've never been to an opening night before, should we dress up fancily? Black tie? More casual?
The closing number "Nothing Bad's Ever Gonna Happen Again" will never be truer than on closing night.
************RIMSHOT**************
jagfkb, only people sitting in the Orchestra need to dress up.
Anyone upstairs is essentially invisible.
Happy Opening!

ew.
rumor is that the closing notice will go up either after tonight's performance or by the end of this weeekend.
we shall see...
I really think it's a shame how quickly this "Happy Opening" thread turned into a bashing one. If you didn't like the show, why did you even decide to come in here?
Anyway, good luck and congratulations to the cast, crew, and creative team of Cry-Baby. I liked the show when I saw it, and I hope that this night is an amazing one for everyone involved. Happy Opening!
Too DarnHot, I getting tired of you bashing this piece on a day-to-day basis. Give it a chance to breath, why dontcha! There's a new musical opening on Broadway - whether it's 'clever and witty' or 'bland and colorless' - Give it a chance to stand-up first and foremost. Don't let your opinion sway others', that's not right ... especially on here. It happens all too often, when someone just 'gives up' on 'a something' that could very well turn-out to be wonderful for someone else..
Best,

And congragulations to one of the coolest movie directors to ever breathe to having two of his movies make it to the Broadway stage. Mel Brooks could take some lessons in modesty from John Waters.
