Hartford residents....question...

For those of you who live in the Hartford area or are familiar with it, I have a couple of questions...
Do any of the touring shows offer discounts when they come through? Is there a website or anything to look? Any strategies on getting discount tickets for their shows? We're hoping to head up there to see the Spring Awakening tour and the South Pacific tour. Does anyone know if the SA tour is doing onstage seating at that venue?
There is a bus (I believe on Peter Pan) that goes from NY to Hartford. Where does that drop you off in relation to the theaters?
Thanks!!

Common sense led me to this website:
http://www.google.com
Except for the question regarding 'is there onstage seating for the US Tour of SPRING AWAKENING?', all the other questions you have can be answered by doing a few seconds of simple research. Also, calling the theatre box office directly can answer all the other questions -- like tour discounts, etc.

Posted: 2/6/10 at 2:12pmThe theatre box office is not going to tell you about discounts when they want to sell full price tickets. Thanks for your totally useless answer.

Posted: 2/6/10 at 2:42pmI used to get email discounts by signing up on their site but not this season. There have been discounts if you join them on facebook. There is one now for Lion King....they give you a code. Maybe there will be one for SA.

The bus station is within walking distance of the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. You can cut through the park, underneath the brick arch and follow the street up toward the state capitol building. The Bushnell is across the street from the capitol.
I am not familiar with the Bushnell selling discounted tickets. there is no half price ticket booth in town. I believe that they have a student rush policy, but that may not apply to you.
I don't know if any of the hotels have access to discount tickets, sometimes they do. Student services at the area universities might have discount tickets.
There is a website, cttheatrenow.com but that only covers discounts for Hartford Stage, Yale rep, Long Wharf and Goodspeed, and Westport Playhouse. The Bushnell does not participate.
Sorry I can 't be more helpful, Adam

Posted: 2/6/10 at 3:00pmThanks for the helpful replies! I just joined their facebook group. If The Lion King, of all shows, has a discount, I have to believe Spring Awakening and South Pacific will. Thanks again!

Generally, for the Bushnell, I buy the extremely cheap rear balcony seats day of (they don't sell out in advanced unless its Wicked) and always move up. I've never seen it sold out.
The onstage seats for SA, I believe, are sold out for the entire week.

i buy tickets a few days to a few weeks in advance, depending on the show.
as for the tour buses, i would check their website. i always see a bunch of coach buses (peter pan included) in the parking lot but i have no idea where they come from.
