Harvey F. Rocks..

I forgot to post that yesterday morning, he was on the today show collecting toys for charity and Matt was like "it's amazing you never missed a show" and Harvey was like "i dont want to upset the audience..how will they know if i have a cold or not.. they are more shocked that i can carry a tune than when i cant" and then stated that he has EXTENDED his contract in the show... and finally, matt goes "I hope you have a great holiday and get everything you want" and Harvey replies "Well Matt, if i get everything i want, then you will be at my house christmas morning" and matt goes "hey hey..this is live" it was so funny.

I really like the fact that Harvey is so dedicated and professional.
I know a lot of fans get mad because he doesn't like when people take his picture. News flash, he doesn't like rude people; and people are rude when they take a photograph of somebody without asking permission of that person. I think he has every right to request that photos not be taken. He said himself, "I'm a person, not a building."
I was amazed at how rude some people are. I had gone to the stage door one night after the show to meet the cast, and Harvey had come out and people started taking pictures. He asked very nicely for people to please not do that, and yet they continued anyway. I made a disgusted face at the fact that they didn't stop after he said that and he saw me do that and walked over to me and said, "Some people are just rude and have no respect for other's wishes." Or something to that effect.
Then he signed the poster I had, smiled and walked away. lol I think he may have said it to me because I was the only person standing there without a camera in my hand. I purposely didn't have a camera when he came out because I know he doesn't like having his picture taken, and I respect that.
Unless I'm at a large, public event (like a concert), I don't take pictures without asking first.

I waited to meet Harvey outside the stage door one day before a show and he was very kind and it happened to be 3 days after he had won his Tony for Hairspray, so we chatted about that. All around, he was overwhelmingly kind to me, some young Hairspray fan.

I don't know he wouldn't take a pictuer with me when I asked. He just replyed really fast "I don't take pictures Thakn you" and kept walking . At least I was nice enought to ask oh well I took one with him at Broadway cares when he was in the photo booth.

He was great in Hairspray but he was extremely rude to me after the show.

LOL! Harvey is just personal about pictures. Give him a break. I'm sure it must get REAL old REAL fast to have people snapping pictures of you right and left. I don't blame him at all. At least he has the dignity to NEVER miss a performance and give the audience the show they're there to see.
