I can only wait for the FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Edna/Tevye spoof heading our way...

And if she'll say, "My darling, I'm yours!" I'll throw away my striped tie and my best pressed tweed, all I really need is the girl...

At first I totally dismissed the idea of Harvey as Tevye but now it's just making me curious - I'll definitely see him in it. And he IS up for Tevye right, not Golde as someone joked?

OH - AnothaPartofME - It still won't let me PM you back about sheet music - e-mail me instead.

Why spend $100 to see a show that offers discounts up the ass - it's not even that good.

This new prodiction is LOVELY!!! I feel throwing Harvey into it is ONLY a ticket booster. And like it's been said, why pay top dollar to listen to a non-singer sing his way through a production? Harvey as Edna was campy and cute. If he's Tevye, oy!

Harvey is a great comedian and his voice lends it's uniqueness to highlight his comedic talent, but in FIDDLER you need someone who can actually sing and pull off the part. So, do I like the idea of Firestein in FIDDLER? NO!!!!

While I would definitely want to see that, I also think that it's a shallow ploy to boost ticket sales. And as I've already admitted, it would so WORK on me!

What the heck is that supposed to mean, wickedfan? Say what you want about his appropriateness for the role, but Fierstein is a skilled, veteran theater actor, not some TV wannabe you'd stick in for a stunt. Updated On: 11/7/04 at 08:25 PM

I think Harvey is a very talented writed. I still don't think he's a fantastic actor at all, I don't know what the hype is about.

I'm syaing, Plum, despite Harvey Fierstein being a Broadway veteran, him and that role are so controversial together that it will intrigue so many people. It will be a HUGE box office draw, but probably dissapointing. Not that I don't love Harvery Fierstein, far from it, just him and that role aren't meant to be.
