Harvey- torch song

I just bought a ticket to torch song, and Harvey isnt in the show. I feel like im not the only person who didn’t realize he wrote the play and he is actually not staring in it. Has anyone else made this mistake?

Well, it was just Off-Broadway a few months ago with the same cast and he was also not in it then?

Just look at the cast list before you buy. Plus the poster literally says Harvey Fierstein’s torch song.

To be fair, the production is using as their main publicity photo a picture of Harvey sitting on a couch surrounded by the cast.  I think a lot of people are going to think he is in the show.
