For a show that didn't receive many Tony nominations and has consistently done well at the box office, it's strange that there hasn't been a recoupment announcement.
I mean, they did just release another block of tickets for Anastasia until June of next year, which means that their advance sales must be good, right?
Weird...

It's only been open for a year, so it's not too crazy that it hasn't recouped yet! I'd probably predict it to announce recouping at the end of the calendar year.

Today is Anastasia's birthday, so today would be a good day to announce.
100 years ago today, she was celebrating her 17th birthday under lock & key, only a month before she was brutally murdered ( despite what this musical may lead you to believe...poor taste...?)...

Darko's last show on Broadway, Gentleman's Guide, recouped after 17 months, after costing $7.5 million for its initial capitalization. The tour recouped after a little over a year.
Anastasia I would estimate having a capitalization of way more than that, considering the larger cast and costume requirements. It also has higher running costs, with a larger ensemble and some more famous (within Broadway) names, in terms of cast, and in terms of creative team. However I believe it's doing better than Gentleman's Guide ever did. So would say it's going to be at least another year.

It may never return its investment on Broadway, but I am sure that the longer it runs, the more positive the impact will be on touring productions. (Jeckyl / Hyde ran 3 1/2 years and did not return its investment; decades ago, Shenandoah ran 2 1/2 years -- a big deal in those days -- and did not return its investment). It will be interesting to see how high its grosses go this summer, given the competition for family tickets (The Lion King, Frozen, Spongebob, Aladdin, Harry Potter, Wicked, and School of Rock...maybe even Phantom if the kids are a little older); I would venture that it may need awesome summer grosses if it is going to return its investment on Broadway. One thing it has in its favor is that I am pretty sure that only two of those shows are at TKTS, but the more that its grosses benefit from TKTS sales, the longer it will run, while not necessarily increasing the return to investors (both J / H and Shenandoah were at TKTS regularly for much of their engagements).
