It makes no sense to me why people keep thinking the Just In Time is ready to close. It sold out last week, with the sixth highest average ticket price. It is not grossing what JG grosses, but the producers had to realize that the average price was going to drop significantly with his exit. I have to admit that I did not much like this when I saw it 40 years ago. I cannot imagine it succeeding today. First of all, Ann-Margaret may have toured it, but the role of Mona is pretty small; I can;t see why a real star with alternative work options would want to tie herself up to appear in this. The fact that this was a hit in London, where it is much cheaper to mount a show and to make the weekly nut, is no predictor to me re NYC chances. I can't help thinking that this will go the way of Pretty Woman and Mr. Saturday Night and DBH and Beaches and Tootsie and Rocky and Almost Famous and all the other clones which never managed to deliver a decent score. I cannot imagine this having any chance of success, regardless of who is in the cast.

Average ticket price for Schmigadoon and The Lost Boys are pretty depressing.I really don't understand why Wicked is still not at TKTS, given an average ticket price of $91. It's probably be higher if it went on TKTS.I would love to know what Tom Felton is getting paid for his tie in HP. The role is virtually non-existent and the grosses have been ridiculously positively impacted by his tenure.

I guess not that many people wanted to see Diana Ross' daughter. I figure at least a dozen shows did not make their weekly nut last week. Wonder how different the picture would be if someone with a brain was in the White House not alienating the rest of the planet. On top of that, there are another X shows that did make their nut, but are clearly contributing next to nothing to return money to the investors. Just awful.

Has the 7 year-old seen anything? If not, absolutely The Lion King. I took my kids when they were 5 and 6 and they were mesmerized. For a 7 year old, there is nothing that will approach LK or Aladdin.
