I have tickets for Saturday night and I was just wondering if she has signed at all this week.

Enjoy the show...worry about this afterwards.

JLT usually signs afterwards, so you'll at least get one star
I wouldn't sign at all if I were her...even if they check bags someone can just ....ooooooooooooh... She should just do the show and get the hell out Jan 9! (cause I'm going that day
)
She was off yesterday evening.

I think people should just let her be for the time being. I would totally understand if she did not sign for a while.

I have so much respect for her right now...if I were receiving death threats AND threats to blow up the theatre I wa scurrently working in, I certainly wouldn't do the show. It shows that she really is dedicated, AND she even comed out once in a while after this has happened. If she doesn't come out, I'll just be grateful for the fact that she is still alive.
If I were Idina, I would not sign at all right now and the fact that it is that important to people that she sign their freaking playbills in the midst of what must be a really tortuous time for her and her husband is, I admit, something I do not understand.
If you have the slightest compassion in your soul, you have to be more concerned about her safety right now than getting an autograph.
I am not pointing any fingers at any individuals here...so please don't flame me. Just making a general comment. Over the past week, since this hideous threat was publicized, I've seen a lot of the same questions about signing pop up on this and other boards and I woudl frankly be embarrassed to even ask that question right now.
Well said SamIAm!

i think the question SHOULD be:
Has this thing ended and is it SAFE for her to come out the normal stage door?
(I know the answer) - Well stated sam

Idina has been sneaking out the backdoor all week--- probably glad that she actually gets home earlier.

I think its just that maybe they have been waiting to go and hoping they will get to see her when she is done with the show and its dissappointing that they wont.
But i think your right. HER safety is more important then getting her name written down on your playbill. I mean yea, if she didn't come out, her fans would be very dissappointed but if it means she stays safe then theres nothing you can do but just go and see what happens.
I spoke with someone last night who said they found out that the person writing these letters was writing them to lots of interracial couples, in all walks of life, and there was never a serious threat. However, I'm glad they took all the right precautions.
Do they know who wrote it? How do they know it's the same guy/girl?
No idea. Just something that was mentioned in passing to me.
Oops, only just caught up with this thread again.
Yes, swiftynift15, Shoshana went on for her.

i think the whole situation is ridiculous, what idiot would threaten Idina and Taye!!??? Sorry just letting off some steam...lol..Idina is by far one of my favorite performers..i respect her decision to do whatever she must to keep safe. What has the world come to though?? All these threats and hate crimes!! It's happening a lot here in California as well you guys, I just don't know if it's safe to walk outside anymore. But I can't let that stop me, I should enjoy life. shouldn't I?

Lord knows I'm no fan of Idina's in any sense of the word but I'd rather she be safe than sorry right now.

And by the way, I just heard from a friend with the NYPD that they've traced the death threats back to Karl Rove.
I am not an Idina fan either, but if she is smart, then she won't come out for a while. Even before this, I'm sure she has had stalkers who wait for her frequently at the stage door, as do most performers. But now that she's gotten these threats, she should just forget about the stage door for the rest of her run in "Wicked," which is less than a month.
