I'm wondering if over the past 15 years or so if Julie has said she'd like to return to the stage, obviously in a play. I didn't know if that was something she would ever want to do again after VICTOR/VICTORIA but was curious if anyone had ever heard her say anything about it.
Personally, I really hated Victor Victoria, but I'd love to hear her in a one woman show about herself, like Stritches At Liberty. She certainly is the Grand Dame!
I have my doubts about a one-woman show, but wouldn't it be just loverly to see her back on Broadway? Maybe she'd win a long overdue Tony?
She's too NICE! Personally I think it would make for a BORING evening at the theatre if she did a one-woman show. It would be her sitting in a lounge chair just talking about her life and career -- which most of us all already know -- and personally, I don't think she could be able to snazz it up to make it a worthwhile show. Stritch had her personality, Rivera had her dancing, and Crystal had an actual PLAY. I love Julie Andrews, but I don't see her doing an artistically successful one-woman show. Not without her singing voice. (And I hope she proves me wrong, if she ever chose to do one). Besides, what is her Act III going to talk about?? Fun times with DWAYNE 'THE ROCK' JOHNSON????
Now put her in a dramatic piece (stage or screen) and THAT is something I may see.

Honestly, I would watch Julie Andrews paint a wall.
CapnHook, that's exactly what I was thinking. It would be extremely boring.

She should replace Angela Lansbury in Night Music when Angela's done.
