i was thinkin the same thing!!!
At the opening night of the original production in Sydney (The Boy From Oz) in 1999 she sent over a friend from the States to check it out and how she was treated.
A friend of mine started talking to an American sitting next to him prior to the show commencing who turned out to be the representative of Minelli. He later eavesdropped while she called back (to Liza) on her cellphone at interval. My guess is that she has sent someone to check it out as she seems a little busy with some legal matters with the ex at present.

I'm sure she'll be shocked to learn that their "Liza" has about as much emotional depth as a character in a Mandy Moore movie ....
I could easily see her thinking: "My God, I knew we were all a lot of things but I did'nt know we were boring..Mama...Mama!"

lol, o liza
LOVIN' LIZA MINNELLI
Wow! From what I've heard... personal friends of Liza who knew her when have told the shows Liza that she captures her very well. That's a great compliment. I think.

Yes i've worked with stephanie block before she's a fine actress and a great singer. i haven't seen the show, but i know she'll do liza justice.
Did any one see the show "Judy Speaks" at Ars Nova Theatre about theree months ago? Mary Birdsong was amazing as Judy Garland.
I have been told the same thing. Stephanie does a great job with Liza and I believe Liza would be damned proud!

I don't think women should ever play Judy Garland. JMO.
Isabel Keating is PHENOMENAL as Judy Garland in "The Boy From Oz."
It is a beautifully skilled, delicate, perfectly modulated performance. Not an ounce of "camp" creeps into her incredibly controlled and disciplined characterization. This porcelain, waif-like, stunningly fragile actress will have you hanging on her every word, gesture and flip of the microphone cord. Her two solo numbers in Act 1 were, for me, the highlights of the show. This is theatre artistry of the highest degree. You cannot take your eyes (or ears) off of her.

Will Isabel get a TONY nomination for that role?
