I keep getting ads for these two shows, both by the underground components of each theatre company, and I was wondering if anybody had seen either of them. How are they?

I saw V. (Don't like to misspell words like the title of this play foolishly does.)
It's a creepy play about a writer who makes a pact with two slimeballs to obtain success, with dire consequences. It's fairly preposterous and quite unpleasant. The writer comes off as selfish and not a little stupid, and her writing skills appear nil.
The actors do the best they can with the material.

Is it the missing accent on "Verité" you object to?
In any case, the misspelling becomes the actual title of the play, so the mistake wouldn't be yours.

Yes.
It's annoying and obnoxious that the author did this.

Posted: 2/4/15 at 9:38amThe title is properly accented on the show's poster and playbill. As usual, After Eight is clutching his pearls over nothing. Talk about annoying and obnoxious.

Verite has an accent over both "e"s.
The ad only has it on the last "e".
I haven't seen it though, so there may be a reason for it.

Either spelling is acceptable.
French is my first language. After Eight, do you even speak it?
